Membership in the Octagon has grown to approximately 395 households in Ames, Story County and the surrounding areas. The Octagon Center for the Arts depends greatly on memberships and donations by people like you to support our programs. Members have the satisfaction of knowing that they help to make our community a better place to live.
We offer several categories of membership to accommodate your individual and family interests.

Household: $60
Basic membership benefits plus a 20% Gallery Shop discount every third Thursday of each month, a 10% discount on all art classes and a 15% discount at the Frame Shop in Downtown Ames
Supporting: $125 to $299
15% Gallery Shop discount every day, 5% discount on current exhibited art and early invitations to exhibit openings, receptions, workshops & special events, a 20% Gallery Shop discount every third Thursday of each month, a 15% discount on all art classes and a 15% discount at the Frame Shop
Business Memberships
Any business who wishes to support the Octagon and offer special perks for their employees can become a member.
Benefits of Business Membership:
The business receives company recognition in selected advertisements, signage and collateral materials. Benefits to the business owner and employees are the basic membership benefits described above plus a 20% Gallery Shop discount every third Thursday of each month, a 10% discount on all art classes, a 15% discount at the Frame Shop and 10% discount on gallery rentals.
1 to 15 employees: $200
16 to 50 employees: $400
51 to 99 employees: $750
