Octagon Art Shop Submission Policy* A jury meets four times a year to consider new work for the Octagon Art Shop. Selection of artists is based on several criteria, including craftsmanship, market, and media. Selection is by artist, not by individual work, so submitting of a variety of pieces that represent the artist’s work overall is required. Artists can submit actual work, slides, or digital / printed photographs the week prior to the jury selection. The deadline for submitting items is 5:30 pm the day before the jury meets. Each submission MUST include artist’s name and contact information, artist statement or biography, and price recommendations for the work submitted. Artists who are approved to sell work through the Shop do so through consignment with 60% of the retail price going to the artist. Jury Selections for 2008 January 17 April 17 July 17 October 16 *No work is accepted between October 30 and January 15. Please respect this busy season and our staff by planning ahead. All holiday items for consideration must be received by the October jury date.
