NOTICE: Watercolor Exhibit Opening and Octagon members annual meeting scheduled for August 13 has been POSTPONED due to flooding in Ames and no available tap water. Opening Reception is rescheduled for Thursday, August 26 from 5:30 – 7 pm. We apologize for any inconvenience.   

 

 

Iowa Watercolor Society Exhibit

 

Octagon Center for the Arts

August 19 - October 24

(date changed due to flooding in Ames)

 

The Iowa Watercolor Society Exhibit will be featured in the Octagon Center for the Arts Main and Sweeney galleries from August 19 through October 24. Juror Margaret Martin from Buffalo, New York, selected 60 vibrant watercolor painting created by 48 Iowa watercolor artists to participate in this exhibit.

 The Octagon Center for the Arts offers a full range of exhibits in two galleries on the third floor. Exhibits range from local artists with solo shows to juried exhibitions and nationally touring shows. There is no charge to visit the galleries; however, donations are appreciated. The galleries are also available for rental for wedding receptions, business meetings, and other special events. Click here for details.
